Each care plan contained detailed information to assist support workers to provide care in a manner that respected the relevant person’s individual needs, promoting their personal preferences’. The care plans were holistic as they considered in detail people’s physical as well as mental health needs to maintain a good standard of well-being. People’s life plans were person centred and contained details about the person, their history, preferences and how they wanted to be supported. These were regularly reviewed and contained any necessary advice from other professionals. There was a complaints procedure in place and people were clear who to speak to if they wanted to raise any issues.
Limited information was obtained from some of the people using the service due to their dementia care needs or communication difficulties. SOFI is a specific way of observing care to help us understand the experience of people who could not talk with us. There are also 18 one bedroom apartments, where people can live independently.

Just be aware that we do not provide housing or care services ourselves, so we cannot accept applications for housing and do not have any control over the services listed on our site. People and their relatives we spoke with were all extremely positive about the care they received and approach of the staff within the village. We observed that staff knew people very well and respected their dignity.
This was designed to ensure that any safeguarding concerns that arose were dealt with openly and people were protected from possible harm. All the staff we spoke to confirmed that they were aware of the need to report any safeguarding concerns. The inspector made no statutory requirements on the home as a result of this inspection and there were no outstanding actions from the previous inspection report.

Other services include home care and day care, under the Belong at Home and Experience Days brands. "A lovely community with access to the village facilities here at Belong." Our National Housing for Older People Awards celebrate examples of successful retirement housing and housing-with-care. Most retirement developments offer either properties for sale or for rent, but newer ones may offer both tenure options, and possibly shared ownership too. For services we haven't rated we use ticks and crosses to show whether we've asked them to take further action or taken enforcement action against them.
Our infection prevention and control inspections look at how well people using a service are kept safe from the spread of infections. One household is dedicated to intermediate care for those recuperating from a spell in hospital. Respite and short term care is provided subject to availability.

But there are many other organisations providing valuable services, both locally and nationally. It includes all 11,500 registered care homes in the UK that cater exclusively or primarily for older people. There is no charge whatsoever to appear in it, and we welcome a photo and descriptive text to enhance the presentation of your home. Those run by private operators more often focus on lifestyle, with help and care services discretely available to buy if or when required. Housing-with-care developments run by housing associations and local authorities tend to be called ‘extra care’ or ‘independent living’ schemes, and explicitly seek to accommodate people who need daily help. The report also references ‘life plans’ as this is how Belong described care plans. We visited two of the households at the home; Holly House and Cedar House. We spoke with six people who lived in these households, four support workers, the head chef and the registered manager.
We reviewed the information and data available to us about Belong at Home Domiciliary Care Agency - Macclesfield on 8 December 2022. We have recently been able to open EAC Advice, a new 'housing options' advice service for older people. As with hotels, the cost of living in a care home varies widely according to its location, the size of your room or suite, and the facilities on offer. There is often a substantial difference between fees charged to those who can afford the costs themselves and those who receive help from their Local Authority. A majority of homes aim to cater for both, but some target only one or the other. A care home is a residential setting where a number of older people live, usually in single rooms or hotel-style suites, because they need regular or continuous access to care. Generally the whole complex will be designed with attention to accessibility for residents with restricted mobility.
People were supported to have maximum choice and control of their lives and staff enabled them in the least restrictive way possible; the policies and systems in the service supported this practice. However, we did find some recording issues in relation to this, which were resolved during our inspection. People had access to other health professionals and staff maintained very good relationships with other health professionals.
